This residential interior design plan draws inspiration from the 60-year-old homeowner's desire for a vibrant future. The main color palette revolves around the red of wine, harmoniously complemented by white wall surfaces, cabinets, and carefully selected furniture. The use of wall lamps and natural lighting further enhances the refreshing color tones.
The focal point of the design is the wine-red wall, adorned with a coat hook that adds both visual appeal and functionality. Behind this wall, the dining room and kitchen are elegantly delineated by a stylish red suspended lamp and exquisite dining table and chairs. The wall hooks provide convenient storage options, reflecting the designer's commitment to a practical lifestyle.
One of the standout features of this house is the hidden storage area located to the right of the dining room. A chic white door and an adjacent bookcase with black wooden veneers create a stylish contrast, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design.
Spanning across 92 square meters, the interior space is thoughtfully divided into a front public area, comprising the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and a rear private area housing the master bedroom, second bedroom, and kid's room. This division ensures a balance between openness and privacy, with each room showcasing its unique style through carefully chosen colors and design elements.
The design project was completed in October 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Extensive research and attention to detail went into creating an enlivening and delicate ambiance throughout the entire white space, accentuated by light-colored wood floors and the captivating wine-red wall. The incorporation of storage solutions and shelves showcases the designer's commitment to an aesthetic and organized lifestyle.
Overcoming creative and technical challenges, the living room features a dark gray sofa and vibrant sofa pillows that perfectly complement the plain TV wall, creating a clean and refreshing atmosphere. The beams above the TV and sofa wall are cleverly modified with wall shelves, seamlessly integrating the evolution of space into the design.
This wine-inspired residential house design has been recognized for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The design's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world, providing fulfillment and positive feelings.
